Description:

Hostas are shade tolerant, herbaceous perennials and are grown mainly for their foliage. Native to Japan, Korea, and China, there are hundreds of species and thousands of cultivars available to the home gardener as a result of hybridizing and tissue culture propagation.

Habitat:

Suburban garden.
