Field Notes

Description:

This tarantula was mostly black with 6 light colored spots on its abdomen.
It was on the trunk of a tree and appeared to have one broken leg hanging out over its body.

Habitat:

rainforest

Notes:

I spotted this tarantula on a nightwalk in the forest near the village of Wowetta. At first I thought it was dead but it did move a little when tenderly poked. It wasn't in good shape though.
