Definitely not a tiger. They do not range anywhere near there.
Not a Mojave either. They don't have bands, they are blotched, much like the Western Diamondbacks.
Definitely a SW Speckled, I've seen pictures of many of these in that area and they all look like this. Really nice find! Definitely not a Tiger, totally wrong area for them.
No it was lethargic from a recent meal I'm guessing. We moved it and it didn't put up much a fight
You found a snake 'sleeping' in the middle of a trail with a rock on it. Please give us more details on the context of the photo, Jeremy. Is this snake dead?
The banding looks closer to a mojave rattlesnake imo. Molting maybe? Seems strange to me that this snake has fallen rocks sitting on it also. Was the snake alive?
Maybe a Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake?
Shouldn't be any Tiger Rattlesnakes in that area.
It looks to be a Tiger Rattlesnake.
