Description:
Part of a larger group spotted in the Corcovado National Park, Costa Rica, where are they are quite abundant. Black fur, with whitish fur on neck, throat, chest, shoulders, and upper arms, a pink face, and a distinctive V-shaped area of black fur on the crown of the head.

Notes:
Native to the forests of Central America and the extreme north-western portion of South America.
Although they are omnivorous, most of their diet consists of fruits. Capuchins often test for ripeness of fruit by smelling and biting, and will throw out what they don't want. Also, they will pound hard fruits onto the ground to soften them or to knock out seeds. Follow them at your own risk!
