Great that they build and maintain this place. I love myself discovering new paths and perspectives. With so much area you'll probably make another masterpiece. Lakes and islands is great for birds ! Nothing is better than a walk with a camera in the wild.I have to show your pictures to my girl friend from Alger at south-east of this place and has much love :))
Thank you. Now they have built proper hides and screens here it is possible to get much closer to the bird, even though they know we are there. Some of them, especially terns and pratincoles, will fly straight at the camera to very close before swerving away at the last second. Recently a lot of work has been done to create new "lakes" with islands and surround them with bunds and put up screens and hides. It covers a much larger area than before and would probably take a whole day to cover it all on foot.
Superb photo Malcolm, I love it. Magnificent bird! Their beaks are funny :) The picture is one that flight is incredible .
