Field Notes

Description:

Usually seen in winter. The call is a "laughing" cry. Head, neck, underparts and tail pure white. Mantle blackish slaty grey. Legs Yellow or orangy yellow.

Habitat:

This species breeds colonially on coasts and lakes, making a lined nest on the ground or a cliff.

Notes:

Seen at Unbhat beach, very near to my last spotting.
