I don't know what this black thing is on top of my lantana bud. Can anyone help me?

It isn't old at all. Just was there and noticed it when I was watering. I don't see any on my other lantana plants. I have six total. The planting of it is a good suggestion. I hadn't thought of that. Thank yall so much for responding to my sighting. I didn't know if it was an invading bug or what as I have a pretty good green thumb but hadn't seen this before. This IS the first for lantana because everyone has it here.
Plant that seed and you might get a new lantana plant. The seeds are very prolific and some varieties are considered weed-like because the lantana plants are prolific re-seeders.
whoops! should have read your comment. Could it be a fruit? Seems odd but I think the fruit does turn black. Is that a spent fower, or a new bud?
