Adult male Prairie Rattlesnake found basking at the base of a Yucca Plant in the afternoon sun.

Habitat:

Semi-arid grasslands, shrublands, plains, dry sandy soil, predominant vegetation: prairie grasses, banana yucca, juniper, sagebrush
