Thanks Bare Feat, i will look it up and research more!! The pine cone could be used as the differentiating factor. Hope fully that will lead us to an ID!
The Monterey cypress grows naturally only in the Monterey area but was widely planted inland, and north to oregon. - Audubon California Field Guide Not sure if its a match but it looks very close.
