i have full screened the pictures, i did not notice the distinct spinnerets only the faded markings on the lower abdomen i would agree on closer inspection that its definately nopsis spp. was on tea break sorry :)

I agree it is not the fishing spider. It has the typical grass spider, Agelenopsis, body shape. "Cephalothorax is pear-shaped, with two dark bands (typically black in color) running its full length." http://www.spiders.us/species/agelenopsis-spp/#identifying_traits
Janine,it does not look like a fishing spider to me. Probably a funnel web weaver or grass spider.
