Field Notes

Description:

About 4cm in length, cryptic colouration in shades of brown and grey, with a dark stripe running down its flank. Very well camouflaged among the grasses. Any ID suggestions welcome.

Habitat:

Scrub with grassy patches in the Ecuadorian Andes, at about 2500m above sea level. This picture was taken near the meseta "Pachamama", close to the village Déleg.

Notes:

This might be the same species as my other Proscopiidae sightings in this area.
