Plymouth Barred Rock rooster, other types of hens. Taken on my grandmother's farm in Middle Musquodoboit with Canon Rebel EOS XS w/ EF-S 55-250mm IS Zoom Lens.

They are all in love with their rooster :-)
My son nurses hens and rooster every summer since 2007. He love animals very much like me.
They were just following him around the pen, haha. :) They tend to do that... and two hens will always rush to sit by his side when he perches. The funniest thing about the first shot, is that before this hen came to nip at his beak, another hen had just walked past him and done the same.
What a harem! did you posed all them behind the rooster or were they sleeping like this? And the first shot is so cute..is like they really are in love :-)
This has to be one of the happiest roosters ever... We adopted him from our neighbors, who had way too many roosters compared to the number of hens, which was causing aggression among the males. Now he's the only man among his harem of ten ladies. :P
