Field Notes

Description:

The female of this species grows to approx 18 mm in length with a 30 mm leg span. Mostly black with the abdomen generally charcoal with lighter markings. A common species throughout Australia

Habitat:

Found this particular one on the back of my gauze door at home. It seems to be one that had been on the outside of my Kitchen window and must of been disturbed as this species generally does not move from where it makes its web unless disturbed.
