Field Notes

Description:

Smaller than the picture shows, roughly 3/16th of an inch. Has an brassy almost iridescent very shiny carapace. Moves very fast.

Habitat:

I usually see them on pavement next to a lawn in the city, usually an overgrown or unweeded one.

Notes:

Have always wondered what this bug is...
