We have kept a few alive. A friend showed us and we had great luck. Take dry dog food and soak it in water until it is very soft. Feed the babies with tweezers. It is all they need. We had one with no feathers that made it. The real plus is that they sleep all night. We fed them when they were hungry about every three hours.
My fiancé had tried to keep them alive, but none of them made it :( it really seemed like they were abandoned.. We wondered I'd maybe mom didn't return, left them there for almost an entire day hoping she would come for them but she never did
Well at that size, I can't imagine they'd have much of a fighting chance. Perhaps there is a bird rescue?
They were actually in an electric box above my flowers, I would see mom flying in and out, then one by one they were on the ground...
