Description:

a plant in the Heliantheae tribe of the Asteraceae (sunflower) family.

Habitat:

It is native to the Neotropics and is widespread as an invasive species in the Pacific.

Notes:

The 3 scientific names seemed to be interchanged and used at the same time.

Thanks Ashish for the ID. It may actually be a Sphagneticola trilobata. It's growing like a weed. I was able to find this species after you ID'd it as a Wedelia acapulcensis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sphagneticola_trilobata
they kinda look a bit alike.. but I think this is not a beach daisy, they looked somewhat different as well.. i spotted this in the forest area :-)
