Field Notes

Description:

Wingspan 2-2.75" (50-70 mm). Fore wings tan to greenish-gray, banded with dark brown or olive. Hind wings brownish orange.

Habitat:

Forest edges, river margins & vineyards.

Notes:

Spotted in the house, on my shirt. The property is surrounded by deciduous forest.
