Description:

Prairie Racerunners, I see many of these all summer long on the Eastern Plains of Colorado. They usually are not so easy to photograph as these were.

Habitat:

Semi-arid grasslands, shrublands, plains, dry sandy soil, predominant vegetation: prairie grasses, banana yucca, juniper, sagebrush
