Description:

Small brown lizard. Males have a bright red-orange frill on their throats that they display for mating and territorial rituals.

Habitat:

Native to parts of the Caribbean, has become an invasive species in Florida. This one was hunting for insects on a boardwalk that leads through a slough in southwest Florida.
