Field Notes

Description:

Bright orange-red splotched with yellow. These look like Petunias, but are a miniature version. This plant wintered over and was one of the first non-bulbs to flower this spring. It was a pleasant surprise.

Notes:

They don't need deadheading like the larger relatives. These are hybrids, but stems broken and placed right into garden soil are likely to take root. However, some are so new that their propagation is prohibited.
