Field Notes

Description:

Is a butterfly of the Hesperiidae family. Adults feed on the nectar of various pink, purple or white flowers.

Habitat:

It is found in the United States from Georgia east to Texas, south to Florida, south through Mexico and Central America to Venezuela and Colombia.

Notes:

I got stung by a small black ant twice while trying to take those pictures!

It is not Lerema sp., but Perichares sp.

Its Skipper too. Common Gray I think with streak of white dots on wings....!! These butterflies are very fast and flower friendly..!!
