Description:

Raccoons are common in Costa Rica , but not so easy to see, In Cahuita National Park, sometimes we see them along trails.

Habitat:

Mangroves, rain, dry and Cloud forest

In spanish it is call Mapache, this name comes from a native language,( náhuatl mapactli) and it means the one with hands, because of the ability to manipulate objects.
