Do not confuse. Flamingos are migratory birds, originated from Chili, Africa only.
These were in the Middle East. I am not sure if Greater African Flamingos you mentioned are the same as Greater Flamingos. Search for Greater African Flamingos in wikipedia gives no result...
Most of Asia located Flamingo birds are African.
