Field Notes

Description:

Upper body mottled green-brown with black & white spots, underside striped black & white. Face red-brown, throat grey-brown with yellow-brown stripe across breast. Body up to 34cm long.

Habitat:

Freshwater wetlands and swamps.

Notes:

They are omnivorous and apparently secretive though this one took no notice of us at all.
