Field Notes

Description:

Large goose this medium brown with white under tail. Orange bill and legs. White around the bill and forhead. Some may have black markings on belly, these did not that I saw. They breed in the northern continents and winter in the western North America and most southern Texas and eastern Mexico. <br>
These geese are usually mistaken for Graylag which has a larger bill, heavier body and sometimes marked with white.

Habitat:

These were spotted on a lawn in a public park

Notes:

Spotted with Canada Geese and one lone Snow Goose. Possibly a lay over til they get to their final winter location.
