Field Notes

Description:

Juvenile sea eagles have a brownish plumage, only acquiring their snowy white head and belly when they mature as adults in their third or fourth year.

The White Bellied Sea Eagle belongs to the same genus (Haliaeetus) as the American Bald Eagle.

70-90 cm long, wingspan of 1.6-2.2 m, about 1.6 - 4.5 kilos in weight.

Habitat:

Coastal Regions, Found in a National Park cruising about 100 metres AGL.

Notes:

Certain this is a Sea Eagle, although I was concerned I may have mis-labeled an Osprey

Also, I think that's a rabbit in it's claws.
