Field Notes

Habitat:

Karstic meadow in the late spring.

Notes:

As I've been able to look into the encyclopedia of local butterflies, I think the genus is definitely "Plebejus", but i couldn't determine the species name. I suppose it could be "argus", "idas" or "argyrognomon"

I wouln't say it's the Common Blue (Polyommatus icarus). Note the irridescent blue patches right besides the ochre curve marking. Common Blue doesn't have them.
Common Blue small butterflies. I get difference in males and females in this specie.
Wow. What they are thinking; maybe "Oh no a paparazzi, hop mum doesnt see the pic..." ;-))) By the way, great shot.
