Description:

Gorgeous black and white bird. This is a breading adults so it has a black head, white underparts, and a checkered black-and-white mantle. It is swimming here with its chicks. Often the chicks will be seen riding on their parents back.

Habitat:

At a lake near Millinocket, Maine, USA, early morning.

Notes:
