Field Notes

Description:

Definity the largest group of mushrooms I've ever seen. covered an area of about 10 ft by 10 ft. Probably had more that 1000 mushrooms. They just covered the ground like nothing I've ever seen. I believe these are honey mushrooms but I could be wrong. I wish their weren't so many leaves ontop o f the colony. Armillaria or Psilocybe?

Habitat:

At the base of a tree and probably growing off the roots.
