Description:

Ophrys apifera is the only species of the genus Ophrys which preferentially practices self-pollination in the Northern range (in the Mediterranean area the plant specific solitary bees by producing a scent that mimics the scent of the female.

Habitat:

Oude spoorweg - Vaarttaluds – Braebos (Belgium).
Het Orveytbos.
