Description:

Nice, light colored fungus. It looked so neat and sweet, that I thought it must be edible.... (!?)

On a poplar trunk

Thanks ID and suggestions Mark! Yep, crop image seems to handle it.
Looks much like Pleurotus ostreatus. I believe the photos are forced to 1200 max dimension. A link to very high res might be a good idea or you could crop?
Thanks Antonio! I took 2nd photo for that purpose, next time will take more attention. ... BTW, what happens to resolution of uploaded photos? Are these equalized to a lower custom size? - Do I need to give link to hi-res photos when I think it is important for some reason? (I have already done this way in some of my previous comments.)
Nice find syzygy,to have better chances of id ,it's cool to take pictures of the under part of the mushroom.
