Field Notes

Description:

Small rodents, buff colored with light and dark stripes down its back. About 11 inches, including the four inch long black striped tail.

Habitat:

Spotted near the Tamarac visitor center. Originally found in the prairies of central U.S. The thirteen-lined ground squirrel now lives anywhere grassland exists.
