Field Notes

Description:

Two oak seedlings. One with red leaves with some green. The other with white leaves with some pink and pink veins.

Habitat:

Found in our yard.

Notes:

Oak seedlings come up everywhere here. Could be Live Oak or Water Oak. The red coloring is common but the pink is not. Is it diseased or a genetic variant? Or?
