Field Notes

Description:

Bright mustard coloured mushrooms with caps about 65mm wide. Young caps were viscous and sticky. They appeared to flatten out to caps with bright centres and darker slightly wavy margins. Gills were forked and apricot colour as was the upper part of the stipe. the lower stipe was dark. No rings seen.

Habitat:

Wood chip mulch (possibly eucalyptus) in open parkland.

Notes:

These were growing in small clumps but scattered through the wood chips.
