She is on a landscaping timber in front of my azaleas.

This is mos def a Plathemis lydia (Common Whitetail) Female. The males have a pruinose abdomen (whitish/powdery.) They also have an entirely different wing pattern. The female whitetail has pale markings on the abdomen on each segment, but the twelve-spotted skimmer has an unbroken line on each side of the abdomen. Great pic!
