Description:
Large native house spider with red legs and dark abdomen. Note the rice grain next to it to indicate size.
Habitat:
House; found in the sink.
Notes:
These hide in cracks and creep around at night; I'm told they can give a painful (though not toxic) bite, but have never yet been bitten. I keep my distance, thank you.
