Field Notes

Description:

I was at my cousin's house one rainy day. They had a bird feeder on their back porch. It was a feast and birds took turns all morning.

The jury I think is still out...it's way to big for a hummingbird, I think. I don't see the Red-bellied woodpeckers coming to those kids of feeders. Thanks for the efforts though.
I had just gotten my new Nikon D300 camera and was fiddling with the settings, but had no idea what they were set on, or what they all mean. I can tell you that the shot settings were: Nikon D300S, AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm lens. Settings ISO 2000, 300mm, 0EV, f/8 1/250, Center focus and shade white balance. I got all that from photo details...but have to admit, I don't know what all those mean. I can tell you it was rain and cloudy and bright to dark. I was shooting from the kitchen table about 20 ft or so away from the bird feeder.
