Field Notes

Description:

*NESTLING?*, Wings not fully developed & developing body feathers.

Habitat:

Nest, any shrub trees, nesting areas up away from predators.
*Nest is in a reef*

Notes:

*Was 4 babies, now only 1. Found him on the ground, nest partly destroyed, as if something got to the other babies or momma broke down nest so they could get out, put him bk in the nest, waiting for momma*

Lindsay Museum is Located in Walnut Creek , CA. Looking at you location, are you near the San Diego Zoo?
where is that located? im not sure if the momma will come bk, we are hoping but if she doesn't, im pretty sure we are gonna take the little guy to somewhere, where they can help him get the nutrients he needs & etc.
We are very fortunate to have the Lindsay Museum Of Wild Life Hospital to help us out during the Fledgling season. They usually advice us to leave the fledglings alone unless the location seems unsafe or the fledgling is injured. They asked me to bring in two fledglings,treated them and then after a month of care they were released into a nature reserve. Lindsay really cares for our local wildlife and they get a lot of donations too!!
