Description:

To finish the saga of Galapagos boobies here are my shots of red-footed boobies. The name says about the main difference, but you can also see thir beak is blue and that they have a creamier color compared to their cousins.

The red footed boobies used to stand on tree branches like this one. The blue footed I found them more often in the floor :-)

Many thanks for choosing my pic :-) Galapagos is one of the best places to see marine birds and three different species of boobies: blue footed, red footed and Nazca. They are tame and allow you to approach their nests. At the same time Galapagos rangers make a valuable effort in keeping people on bay and not harassing the animals.
