Description:

Ok, help me out on this one guys. I decided to go out and look for mushrooms for mushroom mapping and I don't know ANYTHING about mushrooms... I guess this is some sort of bracket/shelf fungus? It was on a stump of a tree that was cut down.

It is! I feel like i'm with my people on here! hahahaha
Ok cool! I'm sure there is a park or a reserve nearby or something that you can find a few mushrooms in! I live in a rural Pennsylvania area and we have a few really nice parks with lakes and stuff that are really nice for just walking around taking pictures... Good luck :)
I sort of live in the city. I live in Decatur, GA which is inside the loop highway that goes around. So it would be a city-suburb??? It's definitely not rural or suburban.
Cool picture! I wish I could just go out mushroom hunting and find such beauties. I also know nothing about them.
