Description:

The Silver-studded Blue (so named due to the silvery blue metallic spots on the underside hind wings) is a butterfly in the family Lycaenidae. It occurs throughout the Palearctic ecozone.

Habitat:

Heathland, calcerous grassland and dunes.

Notes:

Male specimen.
