Description:

We found some sap dont know if it is poisonous me and my friend read a book that they ate the sap so we want to try it!!!! but we heard that some sap is poisonous so we want to be careful about this. This tree has golden orange sap OOZING out of it! This tree has fern like leaves that sprout out in bunches on the log of the tree. Then it goes up into a regular tree and has red and purple berries. We can't reach the berries though. Please help us!!!! When we first pulled off the unknow sap off the tree it was hard on top and had a gel like bottom. This tree has yellowish greenish moss growing on it and when the bark is peeled off it revealed this orange wood on the log and the back of the bark. On different parts of the tree it has brown orangish dust on it.

Backyard in north east Cedar Rapids Iowa
