Field Notes

Description:

Euphyllia corals have modified polyps that give this family the name bubble corals. Because of their peculiar appearance and strong colouration they are among the most popular species in the aquaria trade.

Notes:

The aquarium trade has a major impact on coral reefs. If you have a saltwater tank it is important to always questions where your organisms have been collected from and whether it is sustainable. Read more here: http://www.carnuk.org/getinvolved.aspx
