Field Notes

Description:

Small black-bodied hard shell insect. Invertebrate is usually found on floor or flying. Underside of thorax is segmented. Six-legged. Possibly beetle like per looking at mandibles. What is it?

Habitat:

My apartment somehow.

Notes:

Originally came with crickets which were being fed to Savannah Monitor lizard. Insects wait until feeding time to escape cricket habitat.
