Came across this specimen while on trail.

Carolina, looks like the same species but definitely not the same specimen. I'm glad you all enjoyed it and Derek thanks for pointing out the scientific name. I've updated the spotting. It was exciting to come across this little newt while hiking!
The scientific name is Notophthalmus viridescens, when you have the chance to add it, Yasser.
