Field Notes

Description:

A large rodent caught by my cat last night (not the cat pictured). I've seen these in my yard before, jumping or hopping, though I've only seen them when they were being chased by my cats, so I'm not sure if jumping is their regular movement or not. I live on a farm so there are lots of woods and fields around. (I apologize on behalf of my killer cats.)
