Description:

The praying mantis grows around 6 inches and lives for about one year. They have long, spiky forelegs to catch prey. The praying mantis feeds on many insects as well as small rodents. They are keen hunters, being able to rotate their heads almost all the way around. They color also helps them blend in with the environment.

Habitat:

Praying mantises are found in a lot of different habitats. They prefer to be in warmer climates. They are found in tropical rainforests, as well as deserts, grasslands, and meadowlands.
