Eastern Newt or Red-spotted Newt (Notophthalmus viridescens)
I just came across one today in the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller park near Woodstock, Vermont. Check it out: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6534728 It's an Eastern Newt, in the eft stage. Nice pic!
