Description:

Anthene larydas, the Spotted Hairtail or Common Ciliate Blue, is a butterfly in the Lycaenidae family.

Many of these beautiful little purple butterflies were mud-puddling after rain. Wiki says "Adult males mud-puddle and are also attracted to sand soaked by urine as well as by human sweat."

Habitat:

Mud-puddling on damp patches of a dirt road, running through the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, SW Uganda.
