Field Notes

Description:

This is a young male croc, Terry, who is close to 4 meters/12 long. Adult size is 14 feet and up, with a record of about 23 feet recorded, with just under 20 being the established normal upper limit for males. females much smaller

alice springs reptile ctr

Notes:

Since our trip had to be changed due to being caught i the floods of 2016, we missed out on spotting crocs in the wild. This is my only spotting. I must say, these guys are truly awe inspiring. I am sure I was not the only thankful for sturdy steel bars between us and him as his trainer put him through his paces
